What is it?

Our Swim for All sessions are open swimming periods for anyone who wants to hop in for a swim. With lanes to separate the pool, this is available for all strengths of swimmer.

What do I need?

Swimwear, a towel, toiletries and £1 for a locker.

Is it for me?

If you want to work on your swimming skills or top up your fitness regime in a no-pressure environment then this is the session for you. Everybody's invited and all of our Pool Helpers are trained in supporting people with long-term health conditions. The sessions are therefore suitable for people living with dementia, and their carers are welcome too.

Lane Guide

Some sessions may include lane swimming. Finding out what lane is right for you helps give you confidence in the pool, so please check our guide to lane's to help you decide.

  • Fast Lane - for continuous swimming at 20-30 seconds per length (25m), predominantly front crawl
  • Medium Lane - for continuous swimming slower than 30 seconds per length (25m)
  • Lane - for continuous swimming at a relaxed and leisurely pace, swimming around 40-50 seconds per length (25m)
